It's a jungle out there !

Hey Dad, don't you think it's time to mow the lawn ? It's a real jungle here !

Thank you Dad, that is much better !

Dogs are purveyors of wisdom, the wisdom of love

This is the opinion of  Jeffrey Mason, author of Dogs never lie about love, and we tend to agree, what do you think ? Here is an extract from his book (When asked for his permission to include this extract, Jeff replied : "Of course!  Delighted!  Totally agree with your dog-oriented philosophy!" )

"... there is some profound essence, something about being a dog, which corresponds to our notion of an inner soul, the core of our being that makes us most human ... this has to do with our ability to reach out and help a member of another species ... even when we do not stand to benefit from the other; in short, to love the other for its own sake. If any species on earth shares this miraculous ability, it is the dog, for the dog truly loves us ... beyond what we deserve, more indeed than we love ourselves.
Because the soul of a dog is love, the dog can love other animals, itself and us, with a completeness, a purity and an intensity, that we can admire and learn to emulate."

His new book "The dog who couldn't stop loving" is out now, we can't wait to get it !
More details here

Some day after we have mastered the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity we shall harness the energies of love. Then, for the second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.
Teilhard de Chardin
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.  Henry Van Dyke
Love is the fairest flower that blooms in God's Garden

Take care my friends and have a great week-end !

  9. We wish WE had some grass to cut! We love it when we go to a park or somewhere with grass on it! You two are so cute as usual and that red scarf thing is beautiful!

We always love to come here (or receive your emails) because it's always a little bit of light and happiness! Because of all the hospital stuff, etc. going on around here, Grammy plans to give the book we've already gotten to a grandkid and then order another one later for us to have around the house here for when they visit.
