A tale of a new slippers, a lovely Dachshund and a dog loving pajama designer...

The new slippers
Mum bought herself some really nice slippers; they have little bones, and they have "Woof Woof" written on the inside.

A lovely Dachshund
But not only that, guess what ? she found me a Dachshund soft toy - she loves Dachshunds and had been looking for one for a long time ! I also collect doggie soft toys -  I showed you my collection a while ago so I will need to show it to you again with all the new ones, but I'll wait until Mum gets the boxer which was in the window display of the shop she got the slippers from (she'll get it when they change the window display).

A dog loving pajama designer
See the lovely Dachshund on the bag ? Her name is Penelope, she was the beloved dog of Peter Alexander, and although she crossed the rainbow bridge 5 years ago, she is still the mascot of the Peter Alexander brand.
Peter Alexander is a pajama designer and retailer who loves dogs and is a huge supporter of animal welfare organisations such as the RPCA - last year he designed pajamas with Katherine Heigl to raise money for dog shelters. He now has a purebred Dachshund called Betty and a Dachshund Sheltie cross called Butch, who came from the RSPCA.

So Mr Alexander, we have two requests :
1. As you can see we love pajamas, we think you should design pajamas for dogs
2. We would love you to come to our next pajama party - have a look at the last pajama party to see what we got up to !

Amelie thanks all of you who have sent wishes for her recovery - she is much better now, but it's my other sister Anais' turn to have the bronchitis....

Many of you have said you would send me a post card to add to my collection; thanks in advance, here's my address as I didn't put it in the last post :

Introducing Speedy Ollie, The fastest Papillon in Australia !

I run so fast that I'm called "Speedy Ollie"; I run so fast that, the camera can't get me !

I bet I'm faster than "Speedy Gonzales" too !

I'll borrow his hat

I even know how to say "Woof Woof" in Spanish : it's Guau Guau

Mum bought me a pink jumper so it's easier to see me, and Bella was jealous so she got one too !

Have a great week my friends and take care !

Another Bella and Ollie !
There's another blog with two pets named Bella and Ollie (Ollie is a cat) - what an extraordinary coincidence ! Go and visit them by clicking here and say Hello.

Our secretary has the day off !
Our secretary Amelie, has been unwell with a bronchitis, so she hasn't been able to visit our friends' blogs to say Hello. She's seen the doctor and took the day off from work (she is a kindergarten teacher's assistant and she works very hard looking after little children) today, so as soon as she's better, she'll catch up. In the mean time, we'll look after her, we make very good "hot water bottles" !

If we are cheerful and contented, all nature smiles,
the air seems more balmy,
the earth has a brighter green,
the flowers are more fragrant,
the sun, moon and stars appear more beautifuland seem to rejoice with us.

New toys and a musical interlude...

Hey look at my new toys; Mum found them at the opportunity shop - I love them, aren't they nice ?

Let's play some nice music; now how does this thing work ?

Take it from me, the piano is much easier !

You know, I like having my photo taken so much that if I see Dad go near his camera bag, I prepare myself for a photo session, but I don't let Dad get away with it if he thinks he is going to take a photo of someone else ! This happened yesterday, so I said "Woo woo woo woo woo ! " and here's the result :

Note from Dad : I just noticed that the Translate tool on the side of the blog doesn't include doggie language, so I'll translate for you what Bella said : "Dad, I'm ready, come and take a photo !". Well what could I do, I couldn't resist taking a photo of my beautiful Bella...

We've been given an award :

With this award, comes a few instructions :

Keeping warm and thinking about angels...

Dad says that Spring is around the corner, but it's still very cold here, so we find different ways of keeping warm.
1. Put a woolen hat on your head
Make sure it's looks nice with your clothes
2. Wear a warm coat
3. Snuggle with someone you love
"I love you my dear sister"

Anyone can be an angel, all you need to do is love.

May angels rest beside your door,
May you hear their voices sing.
May you feel their loving care for you,
May you hear their peace bells ring.
May angels always care for you and not let you trip and fall,
May they bear you up on angel's wings,
May they keep you standing tall.
May they whisper wisdom in your ear,
May they touch you when you need,
May they remove from you each trace of fear,
May they keep you from feeling greed.
May they fill you with their presence,
May they show you love untold,
May they always stand beside you and make you ever bold.
May they teach you what you need to know about life here and here-after.
May they fill you always with their love  and give you the gift of laughter

"Be an angel to someone else whenever you can, as a way of thanking God for the help your angel has given you." - Eileen Elias Freeman
"We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another." - Luciano de Crescenzo
