Mum made me a special outfit to go to the Kingston Pet Expo :
I entered 3 competitions : Happiest dog, owner-dog look-alike and best dressed
Here I am with Dad at the owner-dog look-alike competition :
I didn't win any prizes, but I had a great time, I met a lot of doggies, Mum found me some new outfits and Mum and Dad made some new friends and spread the word about my blog.
And by the way, if the public had their way, I would probably have won something because many people said I should have won - which competition do you think I should have won ?
Mum and Dad talked to the people at Beagle Rescue Victoria; they do a great job helping beagle owners and saving beagles who can't be cared for any more.
They also discovered the beautiful story of Dion :
Dion Beasley is a young aboriginal boy living in Tennant Creek , which is in the Australian outback. Being profoundly deaf and suffering muscular distrophy, Dion expresses himself through his unique drawing of dogs, which are reproduced in postcards, bags, and clothing; the proceeds of sales of these items are placed in a trust which has been estalished to assist Dion in this future. If you want to find out more, you can contact Janet Curriez, a volunteer who does a great job promoting Dion's artwork, at ejcurriez2@aapt.net.au.
Last week I got 2 awards from my doggie friends :
Hamish McTavish awarded me a prize for best easter costume (The bee costume); check out his web site, it's really cool and he has a fan club on Facebook.
And then I got a beautiful blogger award from my friend Dory
The rules say that I have to say seven beautiful things about myself :
- I'm really patient when I pose for photos, no matter what sort of outfit Mum finds for me (but I'm not so patient when it comes to going out for a walk !)
I'm Mum's fuzzy slippers
I'm very loyal - when someone goes out, I wait at the window until they come back
I bring joy, laughter and happiness around the house (and around the world, thanks to my blog)
Everyone says I'm cute
I share my sofa with my family
And now I'll pass on the award to seven of my friends :
Did you know it's my birthday on the 14th of April ? Mum is preparing me a surprise, I can't wait !
Don't forget, any comment posted on my blog makes you eligible to win my book, even if you comment on older blog entries, so check out the blog history !
And don't forget, if you send me your address at westiebella@gmail.com , you will get a little surprise if you don't win the book...

I don't know why you didn't win anything because you really were well dressed. I didn't see your Dad so don't know how much you look like him, though.
Looked like a really fun place to go and meet lots of other doggies! We enjoyed going to watch the SplashDogs awhile back! These dog events are FUN!!! Pippin & Gimli from Corgi Country
