Our Dad's grandmother Marguerite spent her childhood in the early 20th century. She loved to write to her grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins who were so dear to her. She loved the postcards she or her parents received and she treasured them. Much later, this collection allowed her to relive the moments of her youth.
100 years after, our Mom and Dad used many of these postcards in their book "Dear France, sweet country of my childhood".
Now our Mom has given them a new life, full of colours; she loves using birds, flowers, butterfly and lace in her creations and the results are fantastic.
They are all available for sale as high quality cards and greeting cards online on Redbubble

Just catching up on Bella and wanted to say hello - our temps are just the opposite and the westies are enjoying baking themselves in the hot summer sun.
Hope you and the family are doing well - I love the fact you are knitting for charity - that is so kind of you.
All the best ... and sending big hugs,
Katie

Those are so pretty. It's a shame humans don't write one another letters and postcards like they used to.
We just love these beautiful vintage cards so much. They are great to see the old style cards. You sure look great in your vintage outfit. Thanks for the share. Have a great day.
