I'd love to be a Bellarina !

I always wanted to be a bellarina, so Mum got me this really nice outfit. I tried dancing to "the Swan lake", but I wasn't very successful, I kept getting my paws caught in the tutu. So Mum said, "Don't worry my darling, I'll find something more appropriate for you".

And so here it is, my new dancing outfit and a new ballet "The possum tree" (remember when I saved a baby possum ?")

And this is my co-star, Peter Possum :

What a cute costar! Hopefully he doesn't play possum on you. I love both your dresses! True story, Mom's first pair of greyhounds, Treat and Hawk, were in a real ballet production of Giselle a while back.

Wooos Bella! what a beaWootiful Bellarina woo make! I like your friend too, last time I caught one of those, he played dead possum, and Mom had to go rescue him.

You look pawsitively adorable, like the true Bella-rina you are, doing the Possum dance. I do a good Squirrley dance and a great Racoon dance, then there is the Lizard leap...that's another fun dance.

Bella
You are a very cute ballerina. I would say that the second dress is just easier to move about in. I like to do dances too, Kyla takes dance and she gets me to dance with her.

My goodness! You are as well dressed as our sweet friend, Lorenza! I LOVE all your clothes. Out here in the country, we don't even wear collars most of the time so that we won't get them caught on bushes, etc.

It is great to know someone with a life as interesting as yours. Grammy has a cousin who is a Prima Ballerina up in San Francisco... or was many years ago... Dott from Corgi Country

Bella-- you are just adorable beyond words, and may I just say that your Mommy is the bestest seamstress in the world!! What a lucky little girl you are to have such a tremendous (in both quality and quantity) haute couture wardrobe! As much as I love ALL your pics, though, the one of you and your co-star (can you climb trees too?!) as well as the one of you sticking your nose in the oven (are there cookies in there?) are my absolute favorites! I cannot wait to read your book (Mommy taught me to read, but I still might make her read it to me., Westies shouldn't have to "work," don't you agree? I sure hope you mom gave you a huge advance for your authorship!

I'm glad you have a Happy Birthday-- you're so deserving, and thanks for letting me join your blog. The combination of your blog and Hamish McT's comments, are the absolute highlights of my day. I'd REALLY love to win your book (but if I don't, I'll make Mommy buy it for me anyway-- whenever I give her "puppy eyes" she turns to mush and is utterly incapable of denying me anything, much less being mad at me!)
